“ACE WONDER: MESSAGE FROM A DEAD MAN”
SCREENING AT ICRS, JULY 12
Mystery, Legacy and Moore Brotherly Love Beat at the Heart
of the New “Ace Wonder” Movie from the Award-Winning HeuMoore Productions
KAUFMAN, TX, July 17, 2011—There was no smoking gun, no dark alley, only unanswered questions that might have scared off the average kid. But 10-year- old sleuth Ace Wonder, P.I. lives for brilliant mysteries. In Ace Wonder: Message from a Dead Man (watch the trailer), Ace risks his young life and still growing limbs to solve a baffling murder as a father and son confront haunting family memories that hold the key to their tattered relationship.
The prodigious Writer/Director John Moore, 21, (SAIFF Award-Winner “The Widow’s Might”) of HeuMoore Productions and his younger brother actor Gator Moore, 12, will host the ICRS premier of Ace Wonder during the 2011 International Christian Retail Show, Tuesday, July 12 at 9 AM in the Sidney Marcus Auditorium, World Congress Center, Atlanta, GA. ICRS participants are encouraged to visit Ace Wonder’s Booth (located at Debut Avenue #DA-31) to meet the filmmakers and pickup a golden admission ticket to the screening and to enter a drawing to win a free IPAD.
While struggling to find a storyline for his latest novel on a typical rainy day, the boy detective stumbles across his first real case. “A man told me that heaven was crying that day,” Gator whose campy portrayal of “Ace Wonder” delivers mystery, adventure and humor for the entire family. “Maybe so. But heaven’s tears were cold…and a thousand lingering memories remain to haunt us.”
Ace’s path tangles with Derek Morton and a host of creepy suspects as this seemingly simple family mystery becomes a case of corporate espionage, scientific discovery, and one cold-blooded killer.
Beneath the mystery and entertainment lies a deeper message for families. Director John Moore said of the movie’s important themes, “They know that God desires to turn the hearts of fathers to their sons, but the son begins drifting further and further away from his dad.
“The answer is one for this generation and is worthy of decoding. In the midst of busyness, so many families forget to share the stories that hold the keys to our rich legacies,” he concluded.
HeuMoore Productions, the filmmaking collaboration of John Moore and David Heustis, first received notice after its film, “The Widow’s Might,” took Best of Festival Jubilee and Audience Choice Award in the 2009 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival (SAIFF). Moore produced “The Widow’s Might” at age 18 and “Ace Wonder” at 20.
HeuMoore is dedicated to creating films that glorify Christ and spread a message of truth. Their films are intended to be wholesome Christian fare for the entire family. For information and to watch the new trailer of Ace Wonder: Message from a Dead Man, please visit www.acewondermovie.com
